Centre Considers Plea to Make CSR Fund Details Public

The Centre has acknowledged lawyer Nayan Moni Hazarika’s suggestion to make CSR fund usage transparent and involve local communities in planning schemes. Hazarika urged an amendment to the Companies Act, 2013, citing doubts about the genuine use of CSR funds. The Corporate Affairs Ministry said the proposal will be reviewed during rule amendments, following a Law Ministry note seeking “appropriate action.”
