Contractors of Guwahati Flyovers Warned of Penalties for Neglecting Service Lanes

Chief Secretary Dr. Ravi Kota warned contractors of ongoing flyovers in Guwahati that they will face penalties if service lanes are not maintained. During a review meeting with various agencies, Dr. Kota instructed the PWD to monitor the lanes closely over the next four days and ensure they are pothole-free, dust-free, and well-lit. He set a deadline of October 9 for completing all necessary works. Additionally, 100 CCTVs with AI capabilities are being installed along GS Road to enhance monitoring. Dr. Kota also directed the Guwahati Jal Board and GMC to ensure uninterrupted services and cleanliness.
