Cotton University Launches GIS and Remote Sensing Training in Collaboration with NECTAR
Cotton University, in partnership with the North East Centre for Technology Application and Reach (NECTAR), has launched a ten-day training programme on Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing. The programme, held at the Physics Department’s Conference Room, brings together students, researchers, and professionals to enhance their technical skills in geospatial technologies. The inauguration was attended by key figures, including the Director General of NECTAR and the Vice-Chancellor of Cotton University. The training, running from January 21 to 30, 2025, will include expert lectures, practical sessions, and case studies focused on addressing Northeast India’s environmental and developmental challenges.
