CPI Slams Assam Govt Over Evictions, ULFA Strikes, and Land Policies
CPI Assam secretary Kanak Gogoi condemned the Himanta Biswa Sarma-led government’s eviction drives as “inhumane,” urging adherence to Supreme Court guidelines and proper rehabilitation. He alleged the evictions aim to benefit corporates like Adani and Ramdev. Gogoi also criticized the government’s privatization policies and attacks on ULFA camps in Myanmar, calling for political dialogue instead. He urged opposition unity to defeat the BJP in the next state elections.
