Debabrata Saikia lodged FIR against AIUDF president Maulana Badruddin Ajmal

Debabrata Saikia, Congress MLA and leader of Congress Legislature Party in Assam Legislative Assembly on Sunday lodged a complaint against All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) MP Badruddin Ajmal at Simaluguri police station in Assam’s Sivasagar district.

“Today I lodged a complaint before police against AIUDF Chief and MP of Dhubri parliamentary constituency Badruddin Ajmal for his derogatory statement against women. He is a Maulana and renowned person of Darul Uloom Deoband and Darul Uloom had a big contribution in the freedom movement of the country. But he made some unconstitutional, derogatory statement against women,” Saikia said.

A person named Dulu Ahmed lodged an FIR at Hatigaon Police Station today against AIUDF president Maulana Badruddin Ajmal for making indecent comments against Muslim girls, women and Hindus in the media. The complainant demanded legal action against the AIUDF leader. Another FIR was lodged in Hailakandi.
