Debabrata Saikia Urges AASU to Oppose CAA, Cites Violation of Assam Accord

Opposition leader Debabrata Saikia has urged AASU and civil groups to resist CAA, claiming it violates the Assam Accord. He accused the BJP government of bypassing the 1971 cut-off by withdrawing cases and fast-tracking citizenship for certain religious groups. Saikia warned this could legitimize nearly 5 lakh foreigners in Assam.
