Dhubri police arrest one person from West Bengal after busting a heroin racket

In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, Dhubri police arrested a man on Saturday night after conducting a raid in Bidyadabri Pt-II village. The man had a large amount of addictive substances that are prohibited.

After receiving information about the existence of a drug dealer in the area, 48 BN CRPF QAT and Sagolia police conducted a joint raid. From a car, the team discovered 52.88 grammes of suspected heroin enclosed in a soap box.

The youth who was arrested is Jahangir Ali, 40, from Chotolaukuti village in the West Bengal district of Coochbehar. There are allegations that he was involved in smuggling heroin into different parts of Assam from across the border.
