Doctor Detained After Alleged Trafficking Incident at Silchar Hotel

Silchar, Assam: A controversial physician, Dr. JP Das, was allegedly assaulted by a mob and later handed over to police following accusations of forcing a minor girl into the flesh trade at a hotel on the outskirts of Silchar. The mob reportedly ransacked the hotel and rescued two other girls. Police have taken Das into custody and launched an investigation into the allegations.
