Education Minister Ranoj Pegu: Mother tongues should be as medium of instruction in primary schools

The National Education Policy 2020 calls for the Rabha-Hasong, Mising, Tiwa, and Bodo-Kachari welfare autonomous councils to fulfil their mandates by implementing their mother tongues as the primary language of instruction. This is in line with the advice of Education Minister Ranoj Pegu.

Today at the State Council of Educational Research and Training, or SCERT, the Education Minister met with representatives of these four welfare autonomous councils.
