Election Commission Orders Immediate Transfer of Udalguri DC for Lok Sabha Polls

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has directed the immediate transfer of Udalguri District Commissioner and District Election Officer (DEO), Dr. Sadnek Singh, ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. Dr. Sadnek Singh has been reassigned as Additional Secretary to the Government of Assam, Animal Husbandry, and Veterinary Department. In the same order, Javir Rahul Suresh, an IAS officer from the 2018 batch, has been appointed as the new Udalguri District Commissioner and DEO. This move comes as part of preparations for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
