Elephant Corridor Signboard Demolished in Depota, Conservationists Alarmed

Miscreants allegedly backed by land mafia demolished a concrete signboard marking the Depota elephant corridor near NH-15. The corridor, connecting Nameri National Park and Sonai Rupai Sanctuary to Arimora Chapori, was created to reduce human-elephant conflict. Forest officials have assured restoration of the signboard. Wildlife groups, including Hati Bondhu, condemned the act and demanded strict action against those involved.
