Farmers, Tribals Protest Land Handover to Adani in Parbatjhora

Protests in Parbatjhora’s Basabari entered day four as farmers and tribal residents opposed handing over 600 bighas of farmland to Adani Group for a thermal power project. Backed by Krishak Mukti Sangram Parishad and TMC, villagers demand the project be shifted elsewhere. Leaders criticised BTR’s Pramod Boro and warned of wider agitation if the government proceeds. Protesters fear displacement, loss of livelihood, and cultural damage.
