Fatal Collision in Guwahati: Auto-Rickshaw Driver Killed in Accident Involving Speeding Uber

A tragic road accident near Khanapara police point in Guwahati late Friday night resulted in the death of Uday Talukdar, an auto-rickshaw driver. The collision involved a speeding Alto car operating as an Uber, with registration number AS 01 EC 6112, and an auto-rickshaw, registered as AS 01 EC 3546. The impact was severe, causing Talukdar’s immediate death. The Alto driver fled the scene following the accident.

Traffic police arrived quickly to manage the situation and begin an investigation. Witnesses and fellow drivers expressed concerns over inadequate traffic management at the intersection, urging for a more consistent presence of traffic police to prevent such incidents in the future.
