Assam University Student Found Dead in Suspected Murder Case

Zahid Ahmed Tapadar, an LLB student at Assam University and resident of Chargola in Karimganj, was found hanging in his room at Ashiyana apartment in Silchar. Tapadar, who lived with his brother, was discovered after skipping Friday prayers, which his brother attended. The hostel owner and local residents found Zahid hanging from the ceiling.

Upon arriving, family members alleged foul play, pointing out blood stains on Zahid’s body and the unusual position of his feet touching the bed. They believe it is a case of murder rather than suicide. The police have recovered the body and sent it for a post-mortem examination as investigations continue.
