Fatal Hit-and-Run Incident Claims Life in Guwahati’s Nalapara

In a tragic hit-and-run incident that occurred on Friday night in Guwahati, a man lost his life after being struck by a speeding vehicle at Nalapara. The victim, identified as Nara Bahadur Chetry, was fatally hit from behind, and the vehicle fled the scene. The incident unfolded in the Nalapara sublocality near Sarusajai of Guwahati.

Eyewitnesses from the local community reported that the vehicle involved might have been a police vehicle, although this assertion is yet to be verified. The victim succumbed to his injuries on the spot. Following the incident, concerned onlookers promptly arranged for the transportation of Nara Bahadur Chetry’s remains to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). Investigations into the tragic incident are ongoing.
