GRP at Kamakhya Railway Station Apprehends Individual with Counterfeit Gold

In a recent development at Kamakhya Railway Station in Guwahati, the Government Railway Police (GRP) apprehended an individual and confiscated fake gold from him. The incident unfolded during a routine check conducted around 11 am on Friday at platform number 2/3.

Officials discovered a person, identified as Alok Kumar, originally from Patori village in Bihar’s Saharsha district, carrying a golden boat-shaped item. Upon weighing the item, it was found to be approximately 1,500 grams, but further inspection revealed it to be counterfeit.

Alok Kumar, the individual in possession of the fake gold, was taken into custody during the operation. Authorities have initiated an investigation into the matter to ascertain the details surrounding the incident.
