Gauhati University Hosts Tribute Programme for Zubeen Garg

GUWAHATI: Gauhati University organised a special programme titled ‘Zubeen Anuranan’ on its campus to remember the musical and cultural contributions of Assam’s celebrated singer and composer Zubeen Garg. The event brought together music, memories and reflections on his lasting influence on Assamese society.

Gauhati University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Nani Gopal Mahanta attended the programme along with guests Dr. Pami Barthakur, Shashank Samir and Rupam Bhuyan. The programme highlighted Garg’s contribution to Assamese music and the continued connection his creations share with audiences across generations.
