GMC Bolsters Dengue Fight with New Fogging Devices Amid Rising Cases

In response to rising dengue cases, the Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) procured five new thermal fogging devices. These remote-controlled devices, mounted on mopeds, can cover congested areas more efficiently.

With the addition of 15 new field workers, GMC has increased fogging operations. Over 1,000 dengue cases have been reported statewide, with 800+ in Guwahati alone since July. Eastern Guwahati areas like Geetanagar and Zoo Road are particularly affected.
