GMC Cracks Down on Polluting Textile Factories in Guwahati

Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) officials inspected three textile dyeing factories near Barshapara ACA Stadium on Monday. Two factories were sealed for discharging untreated wastewater into the Mora Bharalu river, while the third was fined Rs 40,000 for similar violations. The action aims to protect the city’s water bodies.
