GMC to End Water Supply in JICA-Covered Areas from July 2025

Guwahati Municipal Corporation will stop water supply in JICA-covered zones from July 1, 2025. GMC will bear the full Rs 9,500 connection cost for consumers shifting to Jal Board services before June 30, 2025. Residents are urged to switch early to avoid service disruption. This move aims to modernize Guwahati’s water system.
