Hagrama Mohilary Predicts Clean Sweep for BPF in BTC Region

Hagrama Mohilary expressed confidence of a sweeping victory for the Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) in the upcoming Assam elections, claiming strong support in the BTC region.
Addressing supporters, he said the party is set to win all 15 seats and dismissed rivals like the United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) and Congress as weak contenders. He also backed BPF candidate Rabiram Narzary, stating no strong challenge exists.
Mohilary accused UPPL of creating unrest and criticised its leadership, while asserting growing unity among BPF, BJP, and AGP supporters in key constituencies.
The BPF manifesto focuses on education, infrastructure, and welfare. Key promises include a Central University in Baksa, coaching centres for competitive exams, major road and trade projects, and financial support schemes for youth, women, and weaker sections.
The party also pledged to push for ST status for various communities, resolve “D voter” issues, and improve cultural and administrative representation.
With campaigning intensifying, BPF has adopted an aggressive strategy to consolidate its support base across the BTC region.
