Gogoi Hits Back After Sarma Calls Him “Pakistani Agent”

A day after Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma accused Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi of being a “Pakistani agent”, Gogoi responded, calling Sarma “unfit” to lead the state. Gogoi said the CM has “lost credibility” and accused him of making such remarks out of “fear of losing power,” especially on the day late cultural icon Zubeen Garg’s final film ‘Roi Roi Binale’ released to packed theatres. Sarma has repeated claims of Gogoi’s links via his British wife, while Gogoi said these comments reflect poor leadership. Zubeen Garg, who died in Singapore in September, remains deeply mourned in Assam.
