Govt Fixes Visiting Hours, Bans Alcohol at Zubeen Kshetra

The Assam government has fixed visiting hours at Zubeen Garg’s cremation site, Zubeen Kshetra, from 6 am to 10 pm daily. A complete ban on alcohol consumption, sale, and intoxicated entry has been enforced to preserve the site’s sanctity. The order, issued by the Kamrup (M) District Magistrate, follows a Cabinet decision led by CM Himanta Biswa Sarma to maintain discipline and respect at the memorial.
