Guwahati Drug Bust: 21 Kilograms of Cannabis Seized, Youth Arrested

Officials have reported a significant drug seizure in Guwahati, where 21 kilograms of cannabis were confiscated, leading to the arrest of a young individual. The Special Operations Group (SOG) of Assam Police, in collaboration with Garchuk Police, conducted an anti-narcotic operation based on specific intelligence inputs. During the raid, an Alto car was intercepted in Lokhra, en route from Boragaon to Hatigaon, containing the cannabis consignment. The driver, identified as Manoj Bodo, was apprehended, and the vehicle (registered as AS 01 PC 9474) was seized. The seized drugs, valued between Rs 5 lakhs to Rs 6 lakhs in illicit markets, indicate a substantial operation. The accused is now undergoing further legal proceedings.
