Guwahati Man Sentenced to 7 Years Imprisonment for Sexually Abusing Minor

In Guwahati, Assam, the Additional Session Judge of Kamrup District has awarded seven years of imprisonment to Soiful Ali for the alleged kidnapping and rape of a minor girl. Soiful Ali had abducted a female school student from Guwahati’s Noonmati locality and kept her secretly in a remote village in Goalpara, where he sexually abused her over an extended period. The District Legal Services Authority has also directed the government to provide necessary compensation to the victim
