Guwahati Traffic Rules Face Questions Amid Growing Congestion

Guwahati: Increasing traffic congestion and alleged violations of road rules have raised concerns among commuters, with questions being raised over lane discipline, unauthorised U-turns, signal violations and roadside parking across the city.

Residents have also questioned whether traffic rules are being enforced uniformly, particularly when it comes to city buses and other commercial vehicles. Commuters have urged the traffic authorities to take stronger action against violations and address major bottlenecks, especially during peak hours.
