Himanta Biswa Sarma Lists Acts Assam May Forgive and Those It Will Never Forgive

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has shared a social media post distinguishing between actions the state may forgive and those it will not tolerate. He listed genuine parking mistakes, minor public nuisance and plausible traffic violations among forgivable acts.

However, Sarma said crimes against women, land encroachment, illegal infiltration, what he described as “love jihad”, child marriage and other heinous crimes would not be forgiven. The post reiterates his stated priorities on women’s safety, land rights, law enforcement and social issues, but does not announce any new policy measures or legal actions.
