IED Blast Near Kokrajhar Disrupts Rail Services in Lower Assam

Train services in Lower Assam and North Bengal were disrupted after an IED exploded on a railway track near Kokrajhar on Wednesday night. The blast, about 5 km from Kokrajhar station, damaged nearly two feet of the track but caused no casualties.

Services resumed after repairs and inspections by railway and security officials. Police have launched an investigation and heightened security along the route to trace the culprits.
