In Assam, a couple abandons their newborn child with a stranger

A young couple in Assam’s Jorhat district is accused of leaving their infant with a stranger.

The incident took place in the Lichubari area, where the parents gave their infant to a teenager before escaping.

After that, the 17-year-old hurried home with the infant and told his mother that the couple had abandoned the child with him and had left without answering his calls.
