In Guwahati, retired executive engineers’ homes raided by CM Vigilance

The CM Vigilance team raided the home of a retired PWD executive engineer in the Gandhibasti area after receiving a complaint from an MLA. After a lengthy tenure in Karimganj, Samed Ali, a government official, retired in 2022. However, a case (9/2023) was filed in response to the MLA’s complaint, and the required action was started. The group broke into his Gandhibasti home and an apartment nearby. In addition, they raided his properties on Beltola, Zoo Road, Sarumotoria, and other parts of the city. During the operation, the detectives allegedly took cash, jewellery, bank passbooks, and other documents.
