In Jorabat, 61 cattle were rescued from two trucks 5 arrested

On Saturday, 61 live cattle were saved from two trucks near Jorabat, on the outskirts of Guwahati.

Based on intelligence reports, two trucks with the registration numbers AS01 QC 6486 and AS31 C 1082 were stopped at Jorabat’s Link Road by an East Guwahati Police Department (EGPD) team from Basistha Police Station. The trucks were attempting to smuggle live cattle to Meghalaya.

In relation to the incident, the police detained five smugglers and freed up to 61 live cattle from the two trucks.
