Inclusive Recruitment: CAPF Exams to Include Assamese and 12 Regional Languages

Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced that Assamese will be one of the 13 regional languages in which candidates can opt to appear for the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) recruitment examinations. The constable recruitment exams in CAPF, including CRPF, BSF, and CISF, will now be conducted in 13 regional languages, alongside Hindi and English. This landmark decision, effective from January 1, 2024, aims to enhance the participation of local youth in the Central Armed Police Forces and promote the use of regional languages in the recruitment process. The exams are scheduled from February 10 to March 7, expecting approximately 48 lakh candidates across 128 cities nationwide.
