India Sends Relief to Myanmar Under ‘Operation Brahma’
India has dispatched 15 tonnes of relief supplies to Myanmar under ‘Operation Brahma’ after a 7.7-magnitude earthquake devastated the country and parts of Thailand. An Indian Air Force C-130J aircraft delivered aid to Yangon, including tents, blankets, food packets, hygiene kits, medicines, and generators.
The earthquake killed 1,002 people, injured 2,376, and left 30 missing, causing massive destruction. A 4.3-magnitude aftershock on March 30 worsened rescue efforts. India continues to assist as the first responder in the crisis.
