India Signs ₹63,000 Crore Deal with France for 26 Rafale-Marine Jets

India signed a ₹63,000 crore deal with France to acquire 26 Rafale-Marine jets for the Navy. The government-to-government agreement ensures direct delivery by 2031. The jets will be deployed on INS Vikrant and INS Vikramaditya to bolster maritime security against China. The package includes weapons, training, spares, and offsets under the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ initiative. This deal complements the 36 Rafale jets already in service with the Indian Air Force.
