Jai Bharat Party to Contest 40 Seats in Assam, Fields Teharu Gaur from Biswanath

The newly formed Jai Bharat Party has announced it will contest 40 constituencies in the upcoming Assam Assembly elections. The party confirmed that its state president, Teharu Gaur, will contest from the Biswanath LAC.
At a district-level meeting in Biswanath, party leaders reviewed poll preparations and grassroots expansion. Gaur said booth-level organisation is progressing rapidly and will be completed by February 20.
Highlighting tea garden issues, Gaur said workers’ welfare, infrastructure, fair wages and healthcare will be key priorities of the party. Formed in November 2024, Jai Bharat Party is headquartered in Udalguri and draws major support from Adivasi communities.
