Kamakhya Temple Fund Misuse: ED Probe Welcomed by Temple Doloi

Kabindra Prasad Sharma, Doloi of the Kamakhya Temple Management Committee, supported the ED’s investigation into the alleged misappropriation of ₹7.62 crore by the Kamakhya Debutter Board between 2003 and 2019. Sharma emphasized the need to recover every misused rupee and hold those involved accountable. The ED initiated the probe under the PMLA, 2002, after a CID FIR revealed fund siphoning for personal gain. Sharma accused the board of displacing traditional temple managers for selfish interests.
