Kamrup District Issues Guidelines for Safe Durga Puja Celebrations

Ahead of Durga Puja, the Kamrup Metropolitan District Administration has released an advisory for Puja Committees. The guidelines ensure safety and smooth operations during the festivities.

Key Do’s:

1. Follow all safety and security protocols.
2. Obtain NOCs for temporary structures and electrical safety.
3. Keep emergency evacuation areas clear.
4. Have a medical team ready for emergencies.
5. Set up proper fire safety arrangements.
6. Install CCTV cameras and manage crowd control effectively.
7. Maintain hygiene in and around the Pandal.
8. Ensure proper lighting and backup power supply.
9. Open a 24×7 help desk at the venue.

Key Don’ts:

1. Do not block public roads with pandals.
2. Avoid plastic decorations and loudspeakers beyond 10 pm.
3. Prohibit parking within 100 meters of the pandal.
4. Ban alcohol and other banned substances.
