Karbi Anglong Clash: 2 Dead, Internet Suspended

Two people were killed and over 45 injured, including 38 police personnel, in fresh violence in Assam’s Karbi Anglong district after clashes between protest groups. Police used lathicharge and tear gas to control the situation.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said additional forces have been deployed and assured support to affected families. Internet services were temporarily suspended to maintain peace.
