Kaziranga and Manas National Parks to Reopen on October 1 After Floods

Kaziranga and Manas National Parks in Assam will reopen to tourists on October 1 for the 2024-25 season after being closed due to the monsoon and devastating floods. Over 150 animals died in Kaziranga due to the floods, while the toll in Manas is unknown. Park authorities are working to repair flood-damaged roads to ensure a safe experience for visitors. In Kaziranga, Jeep safaris will resume in the Kohora, Burapahar, and Bagori forest areas, with partial access available to tourists.
