Kaziranga Floods Force Wildlife to Flee; Deer Killed in Highway Accident

Kaziranga National Park is submerged in floodwaters due to incessant rainfall, prompting many wild animals to leave the park in search of safety. Tragically, a deer was killed while crossing National Highway No. 15 in Biswanath after being struck by a two-wheeler. The incident occurred when Papu Karki, riding a motorcycle with registration number AS12 S 1753, hit the deer near Bihpuri. The deer died on the spot, while Karki sustained minor injuries. Locals are calling for immediate measures to control vehicle speeds on the highway to prevent similar incidents during the flooding crisis.
