Fire brigades quickly contained the blaze, and no casualties were reported. Authorities are investigating the cause and extent of the damage. Earlier in the month, a fire in Jorhat district destroyed three shops, causing significant property loss but no injuries. Multiple fire engines were deployed to control the fire, which caused damages worth crores.
