Majuli Worker Found Dead in Bengaluru, Family Seeks Investigation

A 35-year-old migrant worker from Majuli, Jiten Chirang, was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Bengaluru, where he had moved two months ago for work. Police reached the spot after being informed and shifted the body to a hospital.

Chirang, a resident of Karkichuk village, is survived by his wife and three children. His family and local community have demanded a thorough investigation into the cause of death and are working to bring his body back to Assam.

The incident comes just a month after another Assamese worker from Lakhimpur was found dead at his workplace in Bengaluru, raising concerns over the safety of migrant workers.
