Minister Biswajit Daimary Reviews Sericulture Schemes at Bodoland Silk Park

KOKRAJHAR: Assam Minister Biswajit Daimary visited the Bodoland Silk Park on Tuesday to assess the progress of government schemes and departmental activities in the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR). He reviewed initiatives under the Sericulture Department, including the Vanya Cocoon Bank, Eri Spun Silk Mill and Eri Pupae Processing Unit.

During the visit, Daimary held discussions with officials on operational issues and measures to ensure the smooth functioning of departmental offices across the BTR. He also distributed assistance to beneficiaries under the Centre’s Silk Samagra-2 scheme, aimed at supporting local sericulture activities and strengthening livelihoods linked to the traditional silk industry.
