Mother-Daughter Duo Killed in Wild Elephant Attack in Assam

A wild elephant attack in Assam’s Udalguri district claimed the lives of Lalmek Karmakar (60) and her daughter Apu Karmakar (35) on Monday night. The elephants strayed into Dimakuchi village and attacked their home while they were asleep. Police and locals later recovered the bodies, which have been sent for post-mortem.
