NFR Workshops Exceed Targets in Train Maintenance and Upgrades

The New Bongaigaon and Dibrugarh workshops under Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) exceeded their maintenance targets for train coaches and goods wagons in July. The New Bongaigaon workshop overhauled 64 coaches, while Dibrugarh completed 59 overhauls, surpassing their target of 56. New Bongaigaon also converted three non-high-speed trolleys to high-speed and manufactured 38 in-house items. Both workshops are enhancing infrastructure, including refurbishing LHB coaches and installing Fire Detection Systems. Additionally, they improved air brake systems, enhancing operational efficiency and safety.
