NFR’s RPF Deploys Drones to Boost Surveillance and Protect Railway Land

The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has acquired 45 AI-powered drone cameras to enhance surveillance and prevent illegal encroachments on railway land. An AI-based software is also being developed to detect unauthorized structures. Recently, RPF evicted 210 illegal occupants and dismantled several unauthorized structures in New Guwahati and Pandu. Under ‘Mission 250 plus’, efforts are underway to vacate over 250 more quarters. Plans include merging quarters, adding security fencing, and developing parks to restore the New Guwahati Railway Colony.
