Nine Child Labour Victims Rescued in Guwahati by Task Force
The Kamrup (Metro) District Child Labour Task Force, with Dispur Police, rescued nine children from garages, restaurants, and sweet shops in Guwahati. Acting on Child Helpline (1098) tips, the team freed seven children from Hengrabari and two from Rukminigaon. FIRs were filed against employers, and the children were placed in shelter homes with CWC approval. More rescue drives are planned to curb child labour and promote child rights awareness.
