One lakh Diyas light up the Basistha Temple.

Following the massive ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ritual of Shri Ram Lalla at the Ayodhya temple on Monday, one lakh clay lamps (diyas) were lit at the Basistha Temple in Guwahati as part of the ‘deepotsav’ celebration.

At the temple, devotees gathered and lit diyas, illuminating the surrounding area. The renowned saint Basistha (Vasishtha) created the Basistha Ashram, which is where the temple is located, and it has a history that dates back to the Vedic period.
