Opposition Leader Debabrata Saikia Faces CID Inquiry Over Guwahati Rally Clash

Debabrata Saikia, the Leader of the Opposition in the Assam Legislative Assembly, faced questioning at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) office after being summoned by the Assam police. The CID had previously summoned both Saikia and Congress state president Bhupen Kumar Borah for the second time in relation to a clash that occurred during Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Guwahati.

Saikia was asked to appear before the CID Police Station in Guwahati’s Ulubari on March 6, while Bhupen Kumar Borah is scheduled for questioning on March 7. The investigation is part of ongoing efforts to unravel the circumstances surrounding the clash during the political event.
