Fake Doctor Exposed: Guwahati Police Arrests Quack Practicing Since 1983

Guwahati Police successfully apprehended a fake doctor, Premananda Rai, operating in Lal Ganesh locality on Tuesday following a complaint filed by Dr. Abhijit Neog. The imposter was practicing medicine at New Mahamaya Medicos, allegedly using the registration number of Dr. Surendra Narayan from West Bengal. Shockingly, the fake doctor had been treating patients since 1983 using the fraudulent degree and registration details.

Further investigations revealed that Rai had also been involved in supplying fake death certificates. The arrest sheds light on the potential risks posed by individuals with false medical credentials, prompting concerns about the safety and well-being of the patients who had unknowingly received treatment from the fake practitioner.
